I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Genesis R-spec with a 5.0 liter engine and sport-tuned suspension. 2.5l jeep tbi diagnostic download for pc. Before buying this car, I test drove the following cars: the Hyundai Genesis R-spec, an Audi A6, a BMW 550 and a Cadillac XTS.All four vehicles were elegant cars. But after test-driving all four vehicles and reasearching the specs of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Jaguar XF, Lexus GS, Infinity M, Volvo S80 and Lincoln MKS, my conclusion is as follows.The Hyundai Genesis R-spec offered comarible luxury and performance to almost all the other vehicles. But the Genesis costs about $15,000 to $30,000 less than all the other vehciles. For me, it was not worth it to spend the extra money for a 'brand name'.If you have money to burn and enjoy driving a name brand, buy a name brand and pay $15,000 to $30,000 extra for a vehicle. Otherwise, save your money for something important like necessities, and enjoy the Genesis.

The headlight mode will sometimes change from auto to off and back to auto while driving (on city streets or on the highway), without input from the driver. This causes the headlights, taillights, and interior lights to momentarily switch off. I feel like this may be due to a loose electrical connection in the headlight mode on the left multifunction stalk, as the auto and off modes are adjacent to each other.

My headlights flicker off and on randomly while sitting still and driving, it shows on my instrument panel switching from auto mode and off randomly I looked up the problem on a couple forums and hundreds of people have had this problem please make this a recall before some hits a child or a car in the street cause the dealerships are not trying to work on it some people said by replacing the turn signal handle it fixed the problem but it needs to be a recall fix not a owner fix if this many people are having a problem ( I found as video on youtube which is the exact problem every one is having https://youtu. When my headlights are in the 'auto' position and I engage my turn signals my headlights will flicker and the lcd screen on my dash switches between 'auto' and 'drl off' which causes my lights to turn off for a couple seconds. This usually happens when I'm in motion and when the turning stalk is engaged, either fully or semi, or even sometimes when I just push up against the stalk without actually engaging the turn signal. This does not happen ever time, but it has happened on multiple occasions.

Headights turn off for several seconds while driving then come on again eventually. Both headlamps go off together. Headlight switch in manual on position, not the auto on/off position which I do not use.

Headlights flash when switching from 'auto' to 'on' position. Occasionally the headlights in the 'on' positon will blackout for 2-5 seconds until headlight stalk is giggled. There is an electrical 'noise' (like a short circuit sound. . . A 'pop') when switching from auto to on. The turn signals also seem to trigger the 'short circuit'. All of these conditions can occur moving or standing still. On any type of roadway.

When the headlight switch is in the on position, as opposed to auto, the headlights may occasionally flicker. This problem is exacerbated by using the turn signals. Sometimes the headlights turn off completely when the turn signal is activated and I have to move the turn signal stalk until the lights come back on. Again, this doesn't happen when the headlights are in auto. It's mostly noticeable in the rain when the headlights don't come on automatically and I have to turn them on manually. I first noticed the issue in 2015 when the vehicle was about 3 years old.

Headlights will go out without warning. This has now happened on 6 different occasions, 5 of which I was traveling on rural roads with no streetlights. During the day, the light diagram box which shows if your lights are in automatic, drl or manual mode cycles through. In addition, I am constantly replacing turn signal bulbs. This is a safety issue as it is extremely dangerous. I have contacted Hyundai over 60 times and they have expressed no interest in repairing the problem. They know that it is the multi function switch causing the issue. This has been acknowledged via the dealership�s conversation with Hyundai. It�s important to report this if your vehicle is affected, to highlight the frequency of this defect.

Multi-function headlight switch (control stalk) is defective and causes low-beam headlights to flash intermittently or turn off for a short period time (3-5 seconds) when using turn signal (right or left). This event occurs while car is moving, speed does not matter. Headlight flashing occurs at all speeds.

Headlight flicker off when using the turn signal, stays off for 1-2 seconds. Light switch is in the on position. This happened with me driving at night and making a left turn, very scary !!! was driving in a city, but it has happen driving out in the country. I think the problem is a fault in the light switch turn signal assembly.

While headlamp switch is in auto position the headlights will randomly blink out or cycle through the lighting options after using the turn indicator. Most recently while our daughter was driving it cycled from auto --> driving lights-->on-->off 3 times within a block after signaling and making a left turn on a city street. Very disorienting and clearly a safety issue, particularly in rural areas where street lighting is minimal. Issue is impossible to duplicate due to its randomness so the dealer assumes there is no problem. They have stopped issuing paperwork on our visits for the problem so there is no recent paper trail. I believe there is a short in the turn signal level or turn signal module as the issue always occurs after the turn signal is used.

Headlights will go out when engaging the turn signal when on the on position only ( not the auto position) light will remain off for between 1 and 10 seconds. This can happen when moving or stopped. There is a dead spot in the switch and just touching it can cause the headlights to go out.

The auto diming feature on this vehicle could be a nice feature if it works properly as it would help blinding drivers on the opposite direction while keeping me safe as well. Here is the problem. While traveling on highway 93 from las vegas to phoenix az the high bean engaged due to very dark road condition. However the back red light of a vehicle one mile away causes the high bean to disengaged leaving me in the dark again. What is even worse is that a vehicle coming on the other side of the road (not on the same road I am driving on) I mean the other contrary side. Whenever, it sense any light at any distance visible to the naked eye, it will also disengage the high bean. This is totally unnecessary as the transit going on the other direction is not affected due to the large median between the 2 roads. My experience is on the route 93 so far las vegas to phoenix. This can simply be fixed by providing proper illumination while on low bean mode or regular condition at night time as they have done on the 2016 model. On Feb 20, 2016 around 8:30pm while driving on highway 93 from las vegas to phoenix az I lost front headlight illumination two times as I was trying to manually switch the low bean to high bean after the high bean had engaged due to the darkness and lack of enough illumination; then it disengaged after sensing either the rear read light of a vehicle one mile in front of me leaving me in the dark again. The other example is when another vehicle one mile away coming on the opposite direction but on the other side of the road and far away from my side due to the large median between road sides. Forcing me to stop and ending off the road and miraculously not going down the cliff. My family and my life is as important as the family of the incoming traffic drivers. Thank you, allinzon aponte.

The headlights randomly turn off when the headlight switch is in the 'on' position. This problem has occurred when the car is in motion at various speeds from residential street to freeway, while turning or going straight as well as when it is stationary. After the problem has occurred, touching or moving the turn signal stalk will usually cause the headlights to come back on. The problem has never occurred when the switch is in the 'auto' position. The problem has occurred many times but is hard to replicate on demand. It is happening with more frequency now. The Hyundai dealer will not fix the problem because they can not duplicate it on demand.

1) almost hit from oncoming traffic at a stop light, when I was attempting to make a left hand turn. The signal turned yellow so I tried to turn left before I realized the oncoming car was going to run the light. I took my foot off the brake and hit the gas to make a quick turn to avoid the oncoming car. The car stalled for a second as I pressed the gas into the turn, then kicked into full power, screeching the tires. I thought this was a fluke but his same problem of 'stalling' for a few seconds when depressing the brake and hitting the gas at takeoff keeps happening intermittently. This is a dangerous issue. When needing to accelerate quickly from a stop, this car has a seconds gap from hitting the gas to the car moving. I've almost been hit twice because of it. 2) the headlights switch off intermittently when using the turn signals to change lanes or turn. They flash oncoming drivers as I click down to turn them on before the turn, or when the turn signal clicks back after the turn. This problem happens almost every time I drive the vehicle with the headlights on. The lights have shut off completely for about 5 seconds while I was driving down the freeway, impairing my ability to see at night. I had to immediately pull over on the freeway in an unsafe location to turn the lights off, then turn them back on to clear the problem. 3) my vehicle had the brake switch replaced from the 2013 recall. However, pressing the brake still does not shut off the cruise control when driving down the freeway. I have to manually turn it off from the button on the steering wheel. I love this car, but I'm afraid to drive my children in it if these problems are not addressed. This vehicle is unsafe and it is going to kill or seriously injure people. Please investigate these mechanical problems and issue the appropriate recalls.

Hyundai Genesis sedan w/tech package. While driving down a poorly lit road at approximately 50 mph, I activated my right turn blinker to turn right at an upcoming intersection. As soon as I selected the turn signal, both headlights went out for a period of 1 - 2 seconds, then came back on. Since the road was dark, I was literally driving blind and could have ended in a very serious accident. There has apparently been a few Genesis sedans reporting this same issue, but this was the first time this has happened to me. When I got home, I noticed that my headlight switch was in the on position. There is also the auto position. When in on, I could duplicate the issue randomly by selecting the turn signals, thought it wasn't consistent. When in auto, I could not duplicate the problem.
